For one night only, our pop-up portrait studio, THE STUDIO, opened inside the NGV Gala—an evening honouring the museum’s exhibition pairing two of fashion’s great iconoclasts: Vivienne Westwood and Rei Kawakubo.

Their work has rethreaded beauty, reshaped silhouettes and unravelled form, expanding both the body and the places it could inhabit. Our studio borrowed the same spirit—an intersection of SELF + SANCTUARY, and a moment to step out of the Gala and into our world.

While Melbourne’s NGV Gala moved with its usual rhythm—fast, brilliant, full of spectacle—THE STUDIO offered something a little removed. A space where guests could feel themselves in front of the camera, not quite fashion editorial, not quite documentary—something in between.
