Each year, TSU LANGE YOR celebrates creativity through the work of an emerging artist.
This year, we collaborated with Korea-based artist Heesu Sandy Kim.
Since she was young, Heesu Sandy Kim has loved looking at the sky. Today she photographs in the softest hours, early morning and dusk, around her hometown in Korea.
For Holiday 2026, our Fragrance Collection is wrapped in 'AFTERLIGHT', a work by Heesu Sandy Kim. The artwork extends to our seasonal gift paper and informed the the tone of THE GIVING EDIT, our holiday curation of fragrance, objects and gifts for the season.

"Ever since I was young, I've loved looking at the sky and clouds. Even during difficult moments, catching sight of a beautiful sky would make me feel a little lighter, and I naturally found myself wanting to preserve the scenes in front of me in some way.
I didn't begin with a distinct style or direction in mind. As I spent more time photographing everyday life, my own sense of color and way of seeing gradually emerged. Even now, rather than deciding in advance what I want to photograph, I tend to respond intuitively to whatever is in front of me. Sometimes it's the light, sometimes the color, and sometimes the moment when a person's movement intersects with the light that makes me stop. I never quite know what it will be until that moment arrives."
HEESU ON COLOUR
"Colour is an important part of how I express myself through photography. Rather than reproducing colours exactly as they appear, I look for colours that come closer to the atmosphere and feeling I experienced in that moment.
Instead of working toward a predetermined palette, I let the colours take shape through the process until I arrive at a point that feels closest to how I experienced the scene."
HEESU ON 아련함 (ARYEONHAM)
"There is a quality that often lingers in my photographs, something I think of as "아련함" (aryeonham), a Korean word for something faint, indistinct, or not quite clear. It might be a quiet sadness, the desire to hold onto something that feels as though it is about to disappear, or the feeling of looking back at something that has already passed. It is difficult to describe precisely in any single word.
The sensation of things scattering through my fingers the more I hold them in my grasp is connected to the way I see and express the world.
I encounter moments and sensations that can never be fully held onto, and through photography, I remain somewhere in between."
